Pupils at Cleve House School have been trying to establish exactly how old their school is. The youngsters have managed to trace four different headteachers dating back to 1958.

Cleve House has been based at its current site on Wells Road since 1948, but it is believed that the school was formed just after the war and may have even started educating the young somewhere else.

Current headmaster Craig Wardle, who joined Cleve House last September, says “it would be fantastic to find out more about this wonderful school and the children would be delighted to hear anything about its history”.

If you are a local historian or if someone you knew went to Cleve House School and you think you can help, please get in touch. The pupils would be delighted to hear from you.
